Grantchester
That year it was spring forever
so that when we stood in the
water meadows all around us
was white, bursting with possibility.
And if I could be there again, today,
I would lift you in the June breeze,
and breathe until the air was filled
with love, and hope, without regret.

About Andrew Kreider
I'm a poet and musician, transplanted from London, England to beautiful northern Indiana. By day I am a stay-at-home dad with our three kids while my amazingly talented spouse conquers medical school one long shift at a time. At night, I'm a performer and trouble-maker. I love my life.
Andrew, that is so incredibly lovely I don’t really have words. I read it four times just to smile and sigh each read 🙂
A moment in time that lasts forever, wonderfully captured!
Beautiful portrait of a beautiful time.
And is there honey still for tea? A lovely poem which made me feel good.
